Hardware and Software Before October 2004 I used a Nikon N70 35mm film camera and made photographs with colour negative film. I use a Minolta Dimage Scan Elite 5400 scanner with Silverfast Ai6 Studio Edition to produce high resolution digital image files, with further processing using Photoshop, Neat Image and PK Sharpener. The images in my two galleries - "Bangkok-Wats" and "Vientiane" - were made and processed in this manner. Since October 2004 I am using a Canon 1Ds digital camera. I capture in raw mode and process the images in Adobe Camera Raw 4.1 and Photoshop CS3, aided by plug-ins such as NoiseWare, PK Sharpener Pro and Convert to Black and White Pro; I also use CS3's new B&W Adjustment Layer. I print my photographs on matte media in an Epson 4800 printer using the Epson Ultrachrome K3 inkset. I produced these web galleries in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 1.2 |
